Exclusive: Two intelligence offices eliminated at the State Department

RIP to the offices of Analytic Outreach and the Intelligence Policy and Information Sharing Center, according to an official inside.

In this video, I describe two offices that were eliminated inside the State Department’s intelligence bureau, INR, according to a person inside the unit who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

Analytic Outreach: They bring in speakers from different agencies, embassies, and countries for educational and training purposes. Staff knew they were going to be cut.

The Intelligence Policy and Information Sharing Center: They coordinate the sharing of intelligence with foreign governments. And staff were shocked to learn they were losing their jobs. In fact, other intelligence agencies voiced their concerns to Amb. Donald Blome, the Acting Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Intelligence and Research.

Across the wider State Department, others tell me that there are feelings of fear and survivor’s guilt. I have also reached out to the press office to comment on the closure of the two intelligence offices. And I obtained a new document, a breakdown of where the State Department made its cuts… shared below.
